Sun City Grand is situated in the city of Surprise, AZ. With its prestigious adult lifestyle, this master planned Del Webb community became their Crown Jewel. Located in the northwest Phoenix valley it began construction in 1996 and completed build out in 2005. The active adult community contains 9550 homes, 252 condos on nearly 4000 acres of land with approximately 16,000 residents. Many are full time residents along with numerous “snowbirds” – those that stay only in the winter to enjoy the warmth and sunshine.

Sun City Grand is an age restricted community that allows residents as young as 45 years of age with no permanent resident under the age of 19. 15% of the residents can be 45 to 54. Rental is allowed in Sun City Grand and renters must be at least 55 years of age.

There are four 18 hole golf courses inside Sun City Grand, all designed by Billy Casper and Greg Nash. Desert Springs, Granite Falls North, Granite Falls South and Cimarron are all 18 hole championship courses. Cimarron golf course has the look and feel of a Palm Springs course with its numerous palm trees.
Several pay methods are available: Premium annual memberships, Regular annual memberships, Flex passes and reduced rate resident daily rates.

Recreation Centers and Village Center
The Adobe Spa and Fitness center is located in the beautiful Village Center situated nearly in the center of the community. The Village Center also includes the Sonoran Plaza, Chaparral Center, many Artisan Studios from Painting to Photography, Poker’s Club building, Beautiful meandering stream with a gorgeous water fall, Tennis courts, Bocce Ball courts, Lawn bowling courts and a Pet Park. Grand Learning
Grand Learning is an Affiliate of the Osher Lifelong Learning Institute. The Osher “Grand Learning” offers enrichment courses to the residents of Sun City Grand and the surrounding communities. The benefits of attending classes include stimulating your curiosity, engaging your mind, and building new relationships. Courses on a variety of topics are offered such as history, relationships, art history, music, archeology and religion. You can explore your favorite subjects or discover new areas of interest. Examples of courses offered include: “Greek and Roman Mythology,” “Music of the Masters,” “The Rhetoric of War,” “Your Digital Camera,” “Stories in Hebrew Scriptures,” and “Spanish Conversation I.” The courses are taught by competent Sun City Grand residents or Arizona State University faculty. For these courses there are no tests, homework, grades, or pressure–just enjoyment and stimulation.

The Sonoran Plaza
is suited for social activities as well with its over 9000 square foot ball room, Honor library, Reading room, Puzzle making areas and a Variety of smaller rooms for varied uses.

The Artisan Studios
include areas such as photography, painting, stained glass, ceramics, sewing and quilting.

The Adobe Spa and Fitness Center along with the Cimmarron Center feature fully equipped health and fitness areas. Housed inside the Adobe Spa is a state of the art work out center, heated pool with lap lanes and general use area, heated spa and an indoor walking trail.
